SURFACE PRODUCTION OPERATIONS
Course overview
This course presents a general overview and fundamental and applied principle governing a wide range of oilfield production handling and treatment equipment. The participant will learn how field fluid treating equipment works. The fundamental principles of fluid behaviour in relation to all the various equipment and systems comprising production operations are discussed. Understanding of the internal workings of the piping, valves and vessels are also described. A major goal includes how to improve communication among the technical disciplines, field and office personnel in order to enhance operational efficiencies, lower costs and improve production economics.
Course Outcome
By the end of this course, delegates will gain skills and knowledge to:
  • Produced fluids properties
  • Valves
  • Safety systems
  • Flow-lines, manifolds and gathering systems
  • Mechanical equipment
  • Gas separation/treatment
  • Acid gas treatment
  • Corrosion control
Who should attend?
Production, operations, facilities and petroleum engineers; production managers and field production supervisors and surface equipment technicians.
