BASIC RESERVOIR SIMULATION
Course overview
This course provides the participants with the fundamental and practical aspects of modern reservoir simulation. Participants will learn how to apply the basic principles of reservoir engineering to numerical modelling, prepare fluid and rock property data required for simulation studies, run and analyse the results for single well, pattern and full-field models.
Course Outcome
By the end of this course, delegates will gain skills and knowledge to:
  • Model components, types and modern gridding methods
  • PVT experiments
  • Routine and special core analysis
  • Pseudo relative permeability and capillary pressure
  • Aquifer representation
  • History matching and performance prediction mode
  • Well test history match and prediction for design of extended test
Who should attend?
Reservoir and petroleum engineers who will be actively involved in predicting the performance of hydrocarbon reservoirs using reservoir simulators.
