ARTIFICIAL LIFT
Course overview
This course provides delegates with a comprehensive overview of various artificial lift techniques; gas lift, electric submersible pumps (ESP), beam pump, progressive cavity pump systems. Reservoir inflow and other factors that influence the design of a typical artificial lift system will be reviewed. Fundamentals of selection and operation, troubleshooting and strategies for optimising artificial lift techniques are also discussed. This course also involves hands-on software applications in typical gas lift operation.
Course Outcome
By the end of this course, delegates will gain skills and knowledge to:
  • Carry out fluid properties and PVT analysis
  • Describe inflow performance relationships (IPR)
  • Analyse laboratory PVT test data
  • Analyse vertical lift performance (VLP)
  • Select an appropriate artificial lift technique
  • Design an artificial lift system for specific well operation
Who should attend?
This course is designed for production engineers, field supervisors, operations engineers, who are involved in the design, installation and operation of artificial lift systems.
